A gender reveal everyone can be at
The people who most want to be at your gender reveal are the ones who cannot get there: the grandparent three states away, the best friend on a night shift, the aunt in a different time zone. This is one link you send to all of them, and one moment that lands on every screen at the same second.
- One page, one link — nothing to install and nothing to sign up for
- You see exactly who turned up, live, as they arrive
- The answer is sealed until you press the button — it is not in the page, the data or the email before then
Why the reveal needs its own page
Every theme on this platform is a boy theme or a girl theme. That is the whole idea of the theme catalogue — and it means your registry link is the one link you must not send before a gender reveal, because the answer is in the background colour before the page has finished loading.
So the reveal gets its own address and its own look: a dark, expectant page that gives nothing away, whichever answer is waiting behind it. The instant you reveal, it changes into your registry's real theme — and that switch is half the moment.
Sealed means sealed
You choose boy or girl days ahead and change your mind as often as you like. Until you press the button, nobody can get it out of the page: not by reading the source, not by watching the data the page quietly fetches while it waits, not from the title in the browser tab, not from the invitation email, which is deliberately painted in the same neutral colours rather than in your family's pink or blue.
We test this the only way worth testing it. The page is photographed with "girl" sealed and again with "boy" sealed, and the two have to come back byte for byte identical. If anything at all varied with the answer — a word, a colour, a font, an extra byte of JSON — the build fails.
Stream it, or do it on the page
If you are doing the balloon, the cake or the smoke on camera, paste the link to your stream and it plays inside the page, with the guesses and the messages running alongside it. YouTube and YouTube Live, Vimeo and Vimeo Live, Facebook Live and Twitch all play in place.
If you are not streaming at all, the page is the reveal. People arrive, guess, leave a note and wait — and when you press the button the page turns over on its own, wherever it is open.
- Boy-or-girl guesses with a live running tally
- A message wall you can moderate, hide or clear
- The gift list and your cash funds, right there in the moment
- An optional countdown to a time you set
- Works with JavaScript switched off, on any phone
You can see who came
This is the part a group chat cannot give you. As people open the link they appear in your console — who is on the page right now, who has been, how many times they came back, and what each of them guessed. It fills up in front of you in the minutes before you press the button, which is the closest thing to watching a room fill up.
Guests are told this on the page itself, in plain words, because a reveal is a party and not a surveillance exercise. Anyone your village already knows — someone who has claimed their own link — shows up under their real name automatically.
And then it is a registry
The moment the answer is out, the reveal page opens the door to the rest of the site: the gift list, the cash funds, the village, the photo album. People arrive for one minute of balloon and leave having claimed the cot.
That is deliberate. A gender reveal is the single busiest minute your registry will ever have, and it is a strange time to make everybody go and find a different link.
What it does not do
Instagram Live, TikTok Live, Zoom and Google Meet cannot be embedded inside another page by anybody — that is their decision, not ours. Paste one of those and the page shows a large button that opens it instead, which is the only thing that actually works.
We do not host video. Stream on whichever platform you already use; this page shows it and holds everything around it.
Names on the reveal page are whatever people type, exactly like a paper guest book. The page says so rather than implying a verification it cannot do.
The reveal link is a secret link, not a password — treat it like the address of a party. If it goes further than you meant, one click makes a new link and the old one stops working immediately.
Money given during the reveal goes straight to your own Venmo, PayPal, Cash App or Zelle. We never touch it, which also means we cannot confirm it for you — you tick it off when it lands.
Questions
Can I schedule it instead of pressing a button?
You can set a time, and a countdown appears on the page. It is a backstop rather than the main event — the button is still there, because a stream that runs ten minutes late should not reveal to an empty room.
What if I want to reveal to the parents too?
Then somebody else has to hold the answer, and this page cannot help with that part: whoever sets it up sees what they sealed. The usual arrangement is that the parents know and the village does not.
Can I undo a reveal?
No. Once it is out it is out — a hundred people have already seen it on their screens, and rewriting the page afterwards would not change that. The answer is frozen at that point on purpose.
Do guests need an account?
No. They tap the link, type a first name if they want to be on the list, and that is the whole of it.
