A gift registry your family can actually use
Every registry asks your grandmother to create an account. This one asks her to tap a link. She sees the gifts, taps the one she is buying, types her name, and she is done — no password, no app, no marketing emails for the next four years.
- Guests claim gifts with one tap — no account, ever
- Quantity tracking, so nobody buys the second cot
- A printable checklist for the grandparent who shops in person
The problem with every other registry
A baby registry has one job: make sure the people who love you can help, without buying the same thing twice. Most registries bury that job under an account wall, a loyalty programme and an advertising business — because the registry is not the product, your family's attention is.
This one is built the other way round. There is nothing to sign up for, nothing to install, and nobody is sold anything. Your village gets a link. That is the entire onboarding.
What a guest sees
A clean list of what you actually need, filtered by category, with the must-haves first and anything already claimed moved politely to the bottom. Each gift shows its price, the store you liked it at, and a direct link to buy it.
When they claim one, they choose how many they are getting and whether the gift should go to your shipping address or come to the shower. If they tick "keep this a secret from Mom & Dad", their name and note stay hidden from every page of the site until you open the gift yourself.
- Claim without an account — a name is enough
- Wanted-quantity tracking: "2 of 3 claimed", not a guess
- Secret gifting that is genuinely secret until you open it
- Ship-to-you or bring-to-the-shower, recorded per gift
- A note to the parents, attached to the gift
What you see
Add a gift with a title, price, store and link, or create a cash fund instead. Edit any of it afterwards — a typo, a price change, a dead link — without touching who has already claimed it. Delete what you no longer need.
Every claimed gift drops into a thank-you tracker automatically, with the giver's name and what they gave, so the note you write in three weeks does not depend on remembering.
For the grandparent who shops in person
Not everyone buys online. The printable checklist lays the whole registry out on paper — item, category, store, price and a tick box — with anything already claimed struck through, so two people cannot come home with the same pushchair. It fits a phone screen in the shop and prints cleanly on a sheet of A4.
What it does not do
It does not scrape prices from stores automatically or keep them in sync. You type the price you saw, and you can edit it later. Retailers actively block automated price reading, and a registry that silently shows the wrong price is worse than one that asks you to type it.
There is no browser extension. Adding a gift is a short form.
Questions
Do guests really not need an account?
Really. Claiming a gift asks for a name. Nothing else is required, and nothing is created behind the scenes that they have to manage later.
Can two people claim the same gift?
Not past the quantity you asked for. If you want three sets of muslins, three people can claim; the fourth is told it is already covered.
Can I use it with gifts from any shop?
Yes. A gift is a title, a price and a link — the link can point anywhere, including a small local shop that has no registry programme of its own.
